1. What you're buying
Restaurant Signals sends a subscriber an email each weekday listing public records about food-service businesses in the counties they chose: inspection citations, new licenses, reviewed construction plans and ownership changes, as published by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). Each item repeats the state's record, with its date and a link to the state's report where one exists, and a phone number from the state's license file where one exists. A spreadsheet of the same items is attached.
2. What it isn't
The list is information, not a promise of business. We don't guarantee that any restaurant needs your service, will answer, or will buy. An inspection report is a snapshot of one visit, and many items are corrected during the visit or soon after. We don't grade, rate or judge any restaurant, and nothing in the list is our opinion of one.
The records come from the state. If the state's record is wrong or late, the list will be too. We fix our own errors in copying or sorting as soon as we learn of them.
3. How you may use it
- Use it to contact businesses about your own services, lawfully. You are responsible for your own marketing, including the CAN-SPAM Act for email, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Florida Telephone Solicitation Act for calls and texts. Phone numbers in the list come from state license files and some belong to owners' cell phones. Don't autodial, robocall or text them without the consent those laws require.
- Don't describe a restaurant's record to anyone in a way the record doesn't support. Quote it, date it and link it if you mention it at all.
- Don't resell, republish or share the list outside your company.
4. Free period, price and cancelling
New subscribers get the list free for 14 days, with no card. After that the list is $149 a month for up to three counties and one company, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Restaurant Signals is operated by Gold Strategics, so the charge appears as Gold Strategics on your card statement. You can cancel at any time by replying "stop" to any list email or using the link in its footer. Cancelling stops the list at the end of the month you've paid for.
5. Refunds
If the list isn't worth it to you, tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund that payment in full. After that, payments aren't refunded, but you can cancel whenever you like and won't be charged again.
6. Limits
We may cap the number of companies that receive a given county's list, and we may stop offering a county. If we stop a county you pay for, we refund the unused part of that month.
The list is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the list is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren't liable for lost profits or for anything you or a third party does with the list.
7. Changes
If we change these terms, we'll email subscribers at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
8. Law
These terms are governed by Florida law.
