What we collect from you
When you ask for the list: your name, company, email address, the counties you chose and your trade. When you pay: Stripe, the payment processor Gold Strategics uses to run Restaurant Signals, collects your card details and billing address. We never see or store your full card number. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page, browser type) for up to 90 days to keep the site running and secure. We also count visits with a first-party analytics script (pages viewed, the site that referred the visit, device type) that sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
What we do with it
We use it to send you the list, bill you, answer you, and tell you about changes to the service. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it except with the companies that run the service for us (web hosting, email delivery and payment processing), and only as much as they need to do that.
The records in the list
The list repeats public records published by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation under Florida's public records law (Chapter 119, Florida Statutes). These records concern licensed businesses. If you believe a record we repeated is wrong, write to us and we'll check it against the state's current record and correct our copy. Corrections to the record itself are made by the state.
When we contact businesses first
We may email a business we found in public directories or on its own website to offer the list. Every such email says who we are, gives our postal address and lets you stop further email with one reply. We honor that permanently.
How long we keep things
Subscriber records: while you subscribe and for up to three years after, for billing and tax records. A request to stop email: permanently, so we don't write again. Server logs: up to 90 days.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except what we must keep for tax records) by emailing hello@restaurantsignals.com. We answer within 30 days.
